In the Key of G unites individuals, celebrates creativity, and brings a unique musical experience to Sydney's bustling CBD. This bold project commissions four Sydney composers from a variety of musical backgrounds to write brand-new works, this year focusing on piano and voice. The works are developed by volunteer emerging and amateur performers who work in and around George Place, with the guidance of professional artists, culminating in a world premiere live in the foyer. Arrive from 5pm to enjoy a complimentary welcome drink and charcuterie boat as the evening comes to life around you. Four renowned improvisers will then ignite the experience, contributing to the music in real time, for the first time. This electric night of new music highlights Sydney Fringe's inclusive, risk-taking attitude towards human creativity.
