The Old Fitz Theatre is one of Sydney's busiest and most activated performances spaces and Australia's only remaining pub theatre. It is located in the basement of Woolloomooloo's beloved 150-year-old Old Fitzroy Hotel. Over the past 26 years, this unique 55-seat space has become the leading NSW venue for daring, bold, and innovative independent work, and has been the home to over 100 Australian Premieres of timely international works, new Australian works, and landmark revivals. Balancing the intimate and the epic, the Old Fitz provides inclusive, accessible platforms for new work and new artists, and a home for industry heavyweights to return to for an experience unlike anything else Sydney offers, all whilst ensuring a safe space for all kinds of artistic expression.
The Old Fitz Theatre is located at 129 Dowling Street, Woolloomooloo, NSW 2011, within the Old Fitzroy Hotel. It is a 5-minute walk from Kings Cross Train Station, and accessible via William Street. Some on-street parking is available on Cathedral and Dowling Streets, while nearby parking stations are located on Riley Street, Woolloomooloo, and Ward Avenue, Elizabeth Bay.

Getting ThereThe Old Fitz Theatre is located at 129 Dowling Street, Woolloomooloo, NSW 2011, within the Old Fitzroy Hotel. It is a 5-minute walk from Kings Cross Train Station, and accessible via William Street. Accessibility Information
Once you arrive at The Old Fitzroy Hotel, you will see the Box Office on street level right near the front door to the Hotel. The Box Office opens 60 minutes prior to every performance. Wheelchair or mobility aid users are asked to introduce themselves to our Front of House at Box Office prior to the performance, and then meet at the Old Fitzroy Hotel's Pool Room Door, to the left of the Theatre's Stage Door. More information about this, including an image, can be found on the Old Fitz Theatre's website. Front of House will admit them from this entrance approximately ten minutes prior to the performance time. Patrons are advised to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the performance time. There is a strict lockout policy in place for all shows. Unfortunately, latecomers are not permitted to enter the theatre once the performance has commenced.
